NHA nagkaloob ng moratoryum sa mga benepisyaryong biktima ng Carina

Kasunod ng pananalasa ng Bagyong Carina at Hanging Habagat, magpapatupad ang National Housing Authority (NHA), sa pamumuno ni General Manager Joeben Tai, ng isang buwang moratorium sa buwanang amortisasyon at upa sa mga apektadong pabahay ng Ahensiya sa National Capital Region (NCR), Region III at IV.

Alinsunod sa NHA Memorandum Circular Blg. 2024-055, pansamatala munang ihihinto ang paninigil ng buwanang amortisasyon at upa sa mga nasabing benepisyaryo mula Hulyo 1-31, 2024 at magbabalik Agosto 1, 2024. Ang mga amortisasyon namang nabayaran na sa nasabing mga petsa ay itatala pa rin sa kasalukuyang terms o payment plan.

Samantala, ititigil din muna ng Ahensiya ang pagpapataw ng multa at interes sa mga apektadong lugar mula Hulyo 1, 2024 hanggang Disyembre 31, 2024. Muling magpapataw ang NHA ng mga nasabing bayarin sa Enero 1, 2025.

“Since the NHA one-month moratorium will be automatically granted to existing residential accounts in affected areas, there is no need for our housing beneficiaries to apply for it,” ani GM Tai sa isang panayam.

Bilang pagtupad sa hangaring maiangat ang antas ng pamumuhay ng mga benepisyaryo, patuloy na bumubuo at nagpapatupad ang NHA ng mga bagong polisiya na nararapat para sa mga benepisyaryo nito — ang mga informal settler families, kawani ng pamahalaan, dating rebelde, katutubo, at biktima ng kalamidad.#
