UPEEP 2026: Powering Innovation, Uniting Professionals, Leading the Nation

The United Professional Electrical Engineers of the Philippines, Inc. (UPEEP) strides confidently into 2026 under a powerful new leadership cohort, guided by its foundational pillars and united by a singular vision: to champion innovation, strengthen competencies, and unite professionals for a smarter energy future. With a strengthened national board, active regional directors, and expanding chapter networks, the organization reaffirms its commitment to Professionalism, Evolution, and Excellence for every Philippine Electrical Engineer (PEE).

Steering the national agenda is the 2026 Executive Committee, led by National President Engr. Jovenie F. Tagatac. He is supported by key officers including Engr. Frytyz Osmond G. Agosila (Internal), Engr. Mark Anjelo U. Estrada (External), Engr. John Regis S. Trocio (Technical), Engr. Glenmar E. Cambri (Secretary), Engr. Jonathan M. Medalla (Treasurer), and Engr. Moises P. Male II (Auditor). Providing strategic direction alongside them is the National Board of Directors and the immediate past president, Engr. Woody G. Erama.

Operational reach across the archipelago is managed by the Regional Directors Board, including Engr. Juanito L. Estillore (Northern Luzon), Engr. Oscar F. Gironella, Jr. (Central Luzon), Engr. Henry B. Binarao (Metro Manila), and Engrs. Rojen V. Morcilla and Peter G. Rodriguez for the Mindanao regions, among others, with Engr. Eric Christian O. Baldoza overseeing the Asia Pacific sphere.

Grassroots mobilization is evident in UPEEP’s established chapters, each with its own dedicated leadership:

Davao Chapter (Charter 001): President Engr. Roger M. Alinsub

Cagayan de Oro – Misamis Oriental Chapter (Charter 002): President Engr. Madeleine Cui-Waga

Manila Chapter (Charter 003): President Engr. Joselito T. De Jesus

These chapters exemplify the theme through localized leadership in internal affairs, external relations, technical development, and governance.

Guiding this entire leadership structure is the clarion call for the year: “Championing Innovation, Strengthening Competencies, and Uniting Professionals for a Smarter Energy Future.”

This theme is announced as the driving force behind all programs and initiatives for 2026. It encapsulates a three-fold mission: to actively promote innovative practices and technologies within the field, to enhance the skills and knowledge base of every member, and to foster unparalleled solidarity among electrical engineering professionals. As UPEEP moves forward, this theme reaffirms the organization’s core commitment to innovation, professional excellence, and collaboration, uniting the profession to shape a smarter and more sustainable energy future for the nation.

The organization’s momentum is built upon a solid foundation. The College of Former National Presidents, including Founding President Engr. Roelito P. Cabuñas and past leaders like Engrs. Nelson Rafael M. Castro (2022), Christian M. Mutya (2024), and Woody G. Erama (2025), provides invaluable experience and continuity. Furthermore, the legacy of the Incorporators and Founding Members—Engrs. Fryitz Osmond G. Agosila, Daniel G. Cabasa, Francis Denny J. Delmendo, and others—remains the bedrock of UPEEP’s enduring mission.

With this multi-tiered leadership structure—from the national executive committee and regional directors to dynamic chapter officers, all guided by the 2026 theme and supported by living legacies—UPEEP is strategically positioned to empower its members. The organization is more than a professional society; it is a united movement driving the electrical engineering profession toward a smarter, more innovative, and competent future. Through shared purpose and passionate leadership, UPEEP is lighting the way for Philippine electrical engineers to rise and shine in 2026 and beyond.#
