Manila Water Ensures Uninterrupted Holiday Water Supply for Millions

Manila Water has assured its over 7.8 million customers in the East Zone of uninterrupted water service throughout the Christmas and New Year holidays, bolstering operations to meet increased seasonal demand.

Steady and reliable—households continue to enjoy clean running water this Christmas as Manila Water keeps 24/7 service flowing through the holidays.

The company’s Corporate Communication Affairs Group Director, Jeric Sevilla, stated, “Our teams are closely monitoring the system throughout the holidays to ensure stable and reliable water service, so families can celebrate the season with confidence.” Operational readiness has been strengthened to support the expected rise in household consumption from gatherings and travel.

A key factor supporting this assurance is the favorable condition of Metro Manila’s primary water source. Angat Dam’s water level is at a healthy 213.61 meters as of December 17, above its normal high-water level of 212 meters. This elevation ensures sufficient raw water supply for treatment and distribution.

While no major service interruptions are anticipated, Manila Water has prepositioned emergency response teams on standby. These teams are prepared to address major leaks or repairs immediately, even during the holiday break, to maintain 24/7 service reliability.

The company also encourages customers to practice efficient water use. Simple #WaterWais habits, such as checking for leaks before out-of-town trips and using water wisely during holiday preparations, are recommended.

Manila Water reiterates its commitment to providing clean, safe, and reliable water service, ensuring customers in its concession area can celebrate the holidays without water supply concerns.#
