Pormal na ipinagkaloob ng National Housing Authority (NHA) ang P5 milyong tseke sa munisipalidad ng Talaingod para sa Balai Himulayanan Housing Project sa Davao del Norte, kamakailan lang.
Bilang kinatawan ni NHA General Manager Joeben A. Tai, personal na ibinigay ni Assistant General Manager Alvin S. Feliciano ang tseke kay Talaingod Mayor Jonnie Libayao.
Bahagi ang halaga ng pangalawang tranche ng kabuuang P20 milyong pondong inilaan ng NHA para sa pagpapatayo ng 100 pabahay para sa mga miyembro ng katutubong Ata-Manobo sa Sitio Lomondong, Brgy. Dagohoy, Talaingod.
Sa ilalim ng Housing Assistance Program for Indigenous Peoples (HAPIP), ibinibigay ng NHA nang libre ang Balai Himulayanan sa mga pamilyang Ata-Manobo bilang benepisyaryo, kung saan ang bawat tahanan ay nagkakahalaga ng P200,000.
Sa kabilang banda, ginanap sa Davao del Sur ang NHA People’s Caravan: Serbisyong Dala ay Pag-asa sa Municipal Ground, LGU-Magsaysay.
Umabot sa mahigit 1,900 Dabaweñong benepisyaryo mula sa 14 resettlement sites ng Magsaysay Permanent Housing Project ang nakinabang sa iba’t ibang libre serbisyong hatid ng caravan.
Kabilang sa mga nakilahok na tanggapan ng gobyerno ang Department of Health (DOH) at Philippine National Police (PNP) na nagbigay ng free medical mission at gamot.
Nagsagawa naman ng profiling para Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa ating Disadvantaged/ Displaced Workers (TUPAD) program, worker’s association registration at job fair ang Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) at Public Employment Services Office (PESO).
Parte rin sa programa ang libreng legal consultation mula sa Public Attorney’s Office (PAO); membership registration, information dissemination ng mga programa at technical assistance ng pagbuo ng kooperatiba at homeowner’s association mula sa PHILHEALTH, Social Security System (SSS), Pag-IBIG Fund, Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO), Department of Migrant Workers (DMW), Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) at Department of Human Settlement and Urban Development (DHSUD); at onsite internet connectivity ng Department of Information and Communication Technology (DICT).
Issuance ng clearances mula sa National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) at PNP; at KADIWA, free planting materials, vegetable seedlings, and agricultural and skills training galing sa Department of Agriculture (DA), DA – Bureau of Plant Industry (BPI) at DA- Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR).
Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situations (AICS) food packs at sustainable livelihood programs ng Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD)- Municipal Social Welfare Office (MSWO); Business consultancy at name registry mula sa Department of Trade and Industry (DTI); Ang Department of Science & Technology (DOST) ay nagbigay ng Awareness Seminar on Disaster and Mitigation; Free Skills Demo and Training, Entrepreneurship Motivation Course at Scholarship Program in Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) NC I ng Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA); at pagbibigay ng Scholarship Programs ng Commission on Higher Education (CHED).
Free Theoretical Driving Course (TDC) at Application for student driver’s permit ng Land Transportation Office (LTO); at National ID registration, Certification request on Birth, Death, Marriage, CENOMAR at No Death mula sa Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA).
Bahagi ito ng pagpapatunay ng pangako ng NHA sa pagsusulong ng mga progresibong komunidad patungong Bagong Pilipinas. Layunin ng People’s Caravan na direktang maibigay ang mga serbisyo ng gobyerno sa mga benepisyaryo ng pabahay sa buong bansa.
