NHA at MERALCO nagsanib puwersa sa mabilis at pinahusay na suplay na kuryente sa mga proyektong pabahay

Mabilis at pinahusay na serbisyo ng kuryente sa mga proyektong pabahay ng National Housing Authority (NHA) ay kabilang sa mga layuning napagkasunduan ng ahensya at ng Manila Electric Company (Meralco) sa isang Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) na nilagdaan noong Hulyo 17, 2024.

Ang kasunduan ay pinirmahan nina NHA General Manager Joeben A. Tai, Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) Secretary Jose Rizalino “Jerry” L. Acuzar, Social Housing Finance Corporation (SHFC) President and Chief Excecutive Officer (CEO) Frederico A. Laxa at Meralco Executive Vice President and CEO Engr. Ronnie L. Aperocho.

Para sa layunin na pagandahin ang kalidad ng pamumuhay ng mga benepisyaryo ng NHA sa usaping enerhiya at kuryente, ang NHA at Meralco ay nagkasundong magtutulungan na suportahan ang mga benepisyaryo sa pamamagitan ng mas pinagtibay at pinabuting serbisyong tugon sa kanilang pangangailangan sa kuryente.

Kasama sa mga pangunahing hangarin ng MOU ang mabilis na pagkakaloob ng kuryente sa iba’t ibang proyekto ng NHA sa Metro Manila at mga karatig na lalawigan. Ito ay upang masiguro na hindi lamang de-kalidad, ligtas at komportableng pabahay ang matatamasa ng mga benepisyaryo kundi maunlad at progresibong komunidad na may mga pangunahing pangangailangan gaya ng kuryente.

Sa kanyang mensahe, binigyang-diin ni NHA GM Tai ang kahalagahan ng ugnayan ng NHA at Meralco upang magbigay ng tulong sa mga benepisyaryo ng pabahay. “Prioritizing the provision of socialized housing units and power connection services as basic needs, we, at the NHA, together with your expertise in modern electric power distribution, will be able to deliver the support these families need towards their experience of a Bagong Pilipinas,” ani NHA GM Tai.

Bukod sa mga nabanggit na serbisyo, bubuo rin ang NHA at Meralco ng isang Technical Working Group (TWG) na binubuo ng mga eksperto mula sa parehong tanggapan, kasama ang iba pang opisyal ng DHSUD at Key Shelter Agencies (KSAs), upang suriin ang mga posibleng pamamaraan upang mas mapagtibay ang kolaborasyon ng pamahalaan at Meralco sa pamamagitan ng pagbibigay-kaalaman sa mga benepisyaryo lalong-lalo na sa usapin ng kuryente, enerhiya at mga pamamaraan sa tama at angkop na paggamit nito.

Samanatala, kasama rin sa nasabing okasyon si Meralco Chief Revenue Officer Ferdinand O. Geluz, Enterprise and National Government Head Cecille Domingo, at Local Government and Special Projects Head Atty. Jang Moreno.#
