PDEA SEIZES 100 GRAMS OF SHABU IN TAGUIG CITY: PUSHER ARRESTED

Anti-narcotics operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) confiscated 100 grams of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride, popularly known as shabu, during a buy-bust operation in Taguig City on November 6, 2015. The operation also resulted in the arrest of the suspected drug pusher.

PDEA Director General Undersecretary Arturo G. Cacdac, Jr. said that the illegal drug was confiscated from a suspect identified as Dencio Yu y Banal, 41 years old, and a resident of Lapu-Lapu Street, Upper Bicutan, Taguig City.

At around 3:00 pm, operatives of PDEA Regional Office – National Capital Region (PDEA RO-NCR) under Director Erwin S. Ogario conducted a buy-bust operation in Raja Sumakwel Street, Upper Bicutan, Taguig City which resulted in the arrest of Yu.

Confiscated from Yu were one knot-tied transparent plastic sachet containing 100 grams of suspected shabu worth P120, 000, one black pouch bag, one driver’s license under the name of Dencio Yu y Banal, and the two pieces of P500 buy-bust money.

The confiscated illegal drug was brought to the PDEA Laboratory Service in Quezon City for forensic examination, while cases for violation of Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs), and Section 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs), Article II of RA 9165 or The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, are now being filed in court against Yu.

On November 7, 2015, at around 10:40 am, joint elements of PDEA Regional Office 6 (PDEA RO6) Special Enforcement Team-Alpha under Director Paul D. Ledesma, Regional Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operations Task Group (RAIDSOTG), Police Regional Office 6 and Iloilo City Police Office – City Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operations Task Group (CAIDSOTG) conducted a buy-bust operation against Rommel Paredes y Paredes, alias Bonjing, 42, driver; and Agustin Puchero y Complesa, alias Ging-Ging, 46, farmer. Both are residents of Guinacas, Pototan Iloilo.

Seized from Paredes and Puchero were 10 pieces of big elongated heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance weighing 24 grams, one piece of small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet of suspected shabu, one plastic container, one box, and the buy-bust money used during the operation.

The total estimated value of seized drugs is P144, 000.00.

Cases for violation of Sections 5, 11, and Section 26 (Conspiracy to Sell Dangerous Drugs), Article II of RA 9165, are being prepared for filing in court against Paredes and Puchero.
