A suspected watch-listed drug personality in Kidapawan City was arrested by anti-narcotics agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) during a buy-bust operation on June 8, 2015.
PDEA Director General Undersecretary Arturo G. Cacdac, Jr. identified the suspect as Erlindo Estrelloso Chiu, alias Dods, 39 years old, of Door 6, Beltran Apartment, Plaridel Street, Poblacion 1, Kidapawan City. He is a watch-listed drug personality of PDEA Regional
Office-ARMM and a target-listed drug personality of Kidapawan City, PNP.
At around 6:00 pm, elements of PDEA Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (PDEA ARMM) under the supervision of Director Yogi Felimon L. Ruiz arrested Chiu after he sold one heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu in the vicinity of Plaridel Street, Poblacion 1, Kidapawan City. Also confiscated from the suspect’s possession were two pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets of suspected shabu weighing five grams placed inside a transparent canister and the buy-bust money worth P800.
The arrested suspect and the seized pieces of drug evidence were brought to the PDEA ARMM custodial facility for proper documentation and disposition.
Chiu will be charged for violation of Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs) and Section 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs), Article II of the Republic Act 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (Mr. Glenn J. Malapad, OIC, Public Information Office, PDEA)
