MAGUINDANAO’S NUMBER 4 MOST WANTED DRUG PERSONALITY FALLS

The fourth most wanted drug personality in the province of Maguindanao finally fell into the hands of operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) following a lawful search in the morning of June 24, 2015.

PDEA Director General Undersecretary Arturo G. Cacdac, Jr. identified the suspect as Norhamid Malaguyuok Masukat, 35 years old, a resident of 1st Road, SPDA, Barangay Semba, Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao. He is listed as PDEA’s Number 4 regional priority target in Maguindanao.

At around 8:00 in the morning, agents of PDEA Regional Office-Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (PDEA RO-ARMM) under Director Yogi Filemon implemented a search warrant issued by Judge Bansawan Ibrahim, AL-HAJ, of the12th Judicial Region, RTC Branch 13, Cotabato City which resulted in the arrest of Masukat in his house in Barangay Semba.

Confiscated from Masukat were two plastic sachets of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride, or shabu, weighing approximately 10 grams worth P45,000.

A case for violation of Section 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs), Article II of Republic Act 9165, or The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, is being prepared for
filing in court against Masukat.

Meanwhile, joint elements of PDEA Regional Office 13 (PDEA RO13) under Director Julius Navales and PDEA SWAT Mindanao under Director Ismael Fajardo, Jr. conducted an entrapment operation in Purok 2A, 1st Street, Barangay Libertad, Butuan City on June 23, 2015 at around 8:00 pm.

Arrested during the operation was Alexis Acapulco, alias Ale, 42, a carpenter who yielded four plastic sachets of suspected shabu weighing more or less five grams.

Acapulco is Number 10 in the list of priority targeted drug personalities in Butuan City.

He will be facing charges for violation of Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs) and Section 11 of RA 9165. (Mr. Glenn J. Malapad, OIC, Public Information Office, PDEA)
