TWO PUSHERS BUSTED IN SURIGAO DEL SUR

Two suspected pushers were arrested by agents of thePhilippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and the Philippine National Police (PNP) during a buy-bust operation in Carrascal, Surigao del Sur on July 15, 2015.

PDEA Director General Undersecretary Arturo G. Cacdac, Jr.identified the suspects as Jessie Agujar y Makiwag, alias Lalang, 26 years old, and a resident of Barangay Tapon, Ubay, Bohol; and Nadia Villarin y Superales, alias En-en, 27, of Brgy. Awayan, Carcar, Cebu City.

Combined elements of PDEA Regional Office 13 (PDEA RO13) under Director Julius R. Navales, Surigao del Sur-Provincial Police Office and Carrascal Municipal Police Station conducted a buy-bust operation in Brgy. Bon-ot, Carrascal, Surigao del Sur which resulted in the arrest of Agujar and Villarin after they agreed to sell one heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet suspected to be shabu to a PDEA agent who acted as poseur-buyer.

Seized from Agujar and Villarin were two pieces of big heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu
weighing 25 grams and various drug paraphernalia.

Agujar and Villarin will be facing charges for violation of Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs), Section 11 (Possession of
Dangerous Drugs), and Section 12 (Possession of Equipment and other Drug Paraphernalia for Dangerous Drugs), Article II of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. They are presently under the custody of PDEA RO13.

On July 18, 2015, at around 11:30 in the evening,elements of PDEA Regional Office 4B-Palawan Provincial Office under
Director Archie A. Grande conducted a buy-bust operation along National Highway, Brgy. San Pedro, Puerto Princesa City, Palawan that resulted in the arrest of Miagie Greganda y Espelit, 28, nursing aide, of Malaban, Biñan City, Laguna.

Confiscated from Greganda were 12 pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing 60 grams, three bricks of dried marijuana leaves weighing 600 grams and the buy-bust money.

Cases for violation of Sections 5 and 11, Article II of RA 9165, will be filed in court against Greganda.  (Mr. Glenn J. Malapad, OIC, Public Information Office, PDEA)
