PDEA, PNP NEUTRALIZE TWO DRUG DENS IN NEGROS OCCIDENTAL

2 drug den owners arrested
Combined elements of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and the Philippine National Police (PNP) neutralized two drug dens and arrested their owners following two lawful searches in Negros Occidental on July 11, 2015.

PDEA Director General Undersecretary Arturo G. Cacdac,Jr., identified the suspects as Enrico Solatorio, 33 years old; and
Chito Atienza, 39. Both are residents of Luzurriaga Street, Barangay 6, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental.

At around 7:00 in the morning, joint operatives of PDEA Regional Office 6 and San Carlos Police Station implemented simultaneous search warrants which resulted in the arrest of Solatorio and Atienza, in their residences doubling as drug dens in Barangay 6.

Denmark Bacalso, 29, who is inside Atienza’s house when the operation was conducted, was also arrested.
Seized inside Solatorio’s house were 14 plastic sachets containing suspected residue of methamphetamine hydrochloride, or shabu, while three plastic sachets of suspected shabu and various drug paraphernalia, were confiscated inside Atienza’s residence.

Solatorio and Atienza will face charges for violation of Section 6 (Maintenance of a Drug Den), Section 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs) and Section 12 (Possession of Equipment and Other Dangerous Drugs Paraphernalia), Article II of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. A separate charge for violation of Section 7 (Visitor of a Den) will be filed in court against Bacalso.   (Mr. Glenn J. Malapad, OIC, Public Information Office, PDEA)
