QC HALL EMPLOYEES TO RECEIVE MID-YEAR BONUS

Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista has ordered the release this month of the mid-year bonus of city hall employees which they can use for the school needs of their children.

In a memorandum circular, the Mayor directed the city budget, accounting and treasury departments to release all available funds needed for the payment of the benefits, which he said must be given to the employees not later than May 30.

The mid-year bonus is equivalent to ½ of the employees’ basic monthly salary plus the 50% cash gift amounting to P2,500.

Entitled to the benefits are all elective and appointive regular plantilla city-paid   personnel of the city government who have rendered four months of service from January 1 to May 16, 2011 inclusive of leave of absence with pay.

Meanwhile, personnel who are employed on a part-time basis shall be paid these benefits corresponding to the salary they are presently receiving and a pro-rata amount of the cash gift provided they have rendered the four-month service requirement.

The memorandum also entitles the grant of the benefits to personnel formally charged administratively and criminally provided that they have not been preventively suspended without pay within the period January 1 to May 16, 2011 .

Also due this month is the P4,000 uniform allowance to be given to all city-paid plantilla employees who are in service of the QC government as of the first working day of January 2011.

However, the personnel office clarified that the uniform allowance shall be on a pro-rata basis depending on the number of months rendered. -30- Precy/ Ej/ Maureen Quinones, PAISO
