Proyekto Para sa Mapagkukunan ng Malinis na Inuming Tubig, Pinakikinabangan na ng mga Residente sa Negros Oriental

 

Pormal ng isinalin ng Department of Agrarian Reform o DAR ang pangangasiwa sa isang natapos ng proyektong mapagkukunan ng malinis na inuming tubig o Community-Managed Potable Water Supply, Sanitation and Hygiene o CPWASH project sa Caticugan Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Association o CARBA sa Barangay Caticugan sa bayan ng Siaton, Negros Oriental.

Ayon kay DAR Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officer 2 o PARPO 2 Louie L. Naranjo, ang DAR ay naglaan umano ng isangdaan at pitumpung libong piso (P170,000) para sa naturang proyekto.  

May walumpung libong piso P(80,000) naman ang naging ambag ng lokal na pamahalaan ng Siaton sa kunstruksiyon ng proyekto at ang dalawamput-apat na libong piso (P24,000) ay nagmula naman sa lokal na pamahalaan ng barangay.

Sinabi pa ni PARPO 2 Naranjo na layon ng naturang proyekto na mabigyan ng sapat at malinis na inuming tubig ang mga residente.

Ang CPWASH ay una ng ipinatupad ng DAR nuong taong 2008 sa ibat-ibang agrarian reform communities sa buong bansa. (-jnormt-/ Public Assistance and Media Relations Service, Department of Agrarian Reform)
