NOTORIOUS DRUG COUPLE BUSTED IN BAGUIO

Both are members of Sadeek Drug Group

A husband and wife who are both target-listed drug personalities, were arrested by elements of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) during an authorized search in Baguio City on June 30, 2015.

PDEA Director General Undersecretary Arturo G. Cacdac, Jr. identified the suspects as Abolais Bulao Naga, 33, a driver; and his wife Desiree, 34. Both are residents of Balacbac, Barangay Sto. Tomas Proper, Baguio City.

The Nagas are notorious members of Sadeek Drug Group operating in Baguio City and La Trinidad, Benguet.

Operatives of PDEA Regional Office-Cordillera Administrative Region (PDEA RO-CAR) under Director Ronald Allan Ricardo arrested the Nagas in their own house in Barangay Sto. Tomas Proper during the implementation of a search warrant issued by Judge Reynaldo Alhambra of RTC Branch 53, Manila, at about 9:00 in the evening.

Confiscated inside were one heat-sealed plastic sachet of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride, or shabu, seven sachets containing ephedrine, 10 triangular ephedrine tablets, a weighing scale, assorted drug paraphernalia, a cal. 22 revolver and several pieces of live ammunition of different calibers.

The couple is temporarily detained at PDEA RO-CAR Jail Facility. They will be charged for violation of Section 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs) and Section 12 (Possession of Drug Paraphernalia), Article II of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. An additional charge for violation of RA 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act) will also be filed against them. (Mr. Glenn J. Malapad, OIC, Public Information Office, PDEA)
