QC Pinaalalahanan ang mga Paaralan ukol sa mga pagkaing ibinebenta sa mga estudyante

Dahil sa sunud-sunod na balitang lumabas ukol sa kaso ng pagkalason sa mga paaralan sa Mindanao at sa iba pang mga lugar, nagsanib pwersa ang Quezon City Health Department at QC Division City Schools upang masiguro na walang pagkain na expired na ang maibebenta sa mga mag-aaral sa kanilang lungsod.
Naglunsad ang City Health Department’s nutrition committee at DCS ng programa na “Healthy School Canteen” upang makapagbigay ng malinis at masustansyang pagkain sa lahat ng pampubliko at pribadong paaralan sa abot-kayang halaga.
Binigyang diin ni Mayor Herbert Bautista ang pangangailangan ng city health department na magkaroon ng programa upang matiyak na maayos na maihahanda ang mga pagkaing binebenta sa mga mag-aaral.
Ayon kay Mayor Bautista ay responsibilidad ng city health department na matiyak na ligtas at wasto ang mga pagkaing ihahanda sa mga kanitna ng bawat paaralan.
“We must always think of the safety of QC school children by preventing any improper food handling and preparations,” ani Bautista.
Pinaalalahanan din ni Mayor Bautista ang mga guro na maging maingat at mapanuri sa mga pinagkukunan ng mga pagkaing iniaalok sa mga bata sa paaralan.
Ang kagawaran ng kalusugan sa lungsod at pinagsamang programa ng DCS ay kasabay din sa pagdiriwang ng lungsod sa taunang Nutrition Month tuwing Buwan ng Hulyo upang itaguyod ang kamalayan sa tamang nutrisyon at turuan ang publiko sa kahalagahan ng malusog na gawi ng pagkain.
Ang paglulunsad ng programang ” Healthy School Canteen ” at ” Gulayan Ng Paaralan ” ay ginanap noong Hulyo 21, 2015 sa Sto. Cristo Elementary School , Barangay Sto. Cristo, QC. (Freda Migano)
