A 48-year-old Chinese national and his two cohorts were arrested by agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) during an implementation of a search warrant in Bulacan on July 4,2015.
PDEA Director General Undersecretary Arturo G. Cacdac, Jr. identified the suspects as Patrick Martin (Ching Qin Ang), alias Nono, a businessman and a resident of Barangay Bulihan, Plaridel, Bulacan; Wilson Resurreccion, 37, of Karuhatan, Valenzuela City; and Adrian Bersola, 45, from Batia, Bocaue, Bulacan.
Elements of PDEA Regional Office 3 (PDEA RO3) under Director Jeoffrey Tacio implemented a search warrant issued by Judge Primo Sio of RTC Branch 23, Cabanatuan City against Martin in his house in Barangay Bulihan which resulted in his arrest at around 12:46 in the afternoon.
Resurreccion and Bersola, who were present inside Martin’s house when the operation was conducted, were likewise apprehended.
Seized inside were one transparent plastic sachet of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride, or shabu, weighing approximately 1.6 grams and four strips of aluminum foil.
Martin, Resurreccion and Bersola will be facing charges for violation of Section 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs) and Section 15 (Use of Dangerous Drugs), Article II, of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
