The Number 1 target-listed drug personality in the province of Isabela and his cohort were arrested by operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) during an entrapment operation on Tuesday, July 7, 2015.
PDEA Director General Undersecretary Arturo G. Cacdac, Jr. identified the suspects as Erwin Maury Rabonza, 46, married, a resident of Jones, Isabela; and Julius Garin, 36 years old, a tricycle driver from Purok 2, Barangay Libertad, Echague, Isabela.
Rabonza is PDEA/PNP’s most wanted drug personality in Isabela.
At around 5:30 in the afternoon, Rabonza and Garin fellinto the hands of the operatives of PDEA Regional Office 2 (PDEA RO2) under Director Derrick Arnold C. Carreon, during a buy-bust operation in Garin’s neighborhood in Barangay Libertad. Seized from them were
nine transparent plastic sachets of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride, or shabu, weighing more or less five grams, with an estimated value of P13,000 and various drug paraphernalia.
Rabonza and Garin, who are presently detained at PDEA RO2 Jail Facility in Tuguegarao, Cagayan, will be charged for violation of Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs) in relation to Section 26 (Conspiracy to Sell), Section 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs) and Section 12 (Possession of Drug Paraphernalia), Article II of Republic Act 9165 or The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
