Principles of auditing uphold by KCFAPI

Different activities have been initiated by the Knights of Columbus Fraternal Association of the Philippines Inc. (KCFAPI) to meet the corporate quality objectives and to ensure external and internal customer satisfaction.

KCFAPI has recently conducted a two-day workshop to more than 15 participants held at the KCFAPI head office in Intramuros, Manila to serve as a refresher for experienced auditors and a formal training for new ones.

Internal Quality Audit Trainer Ermelinda Andres tackled about the principles related to auditors such as ethical conduct; the obligation to report truthfully and accurately; application of diligence and judgment in auditing; independence; and evidence-based approach.

The workshop aimed to increase the employees’ level of competence, and familiarize and equip them in the audit process.

KCFAPI continued to be ISO certified with the confirmation of its certifying body, the Certification International (CI). On July 7, the surveillance audit found its Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with the requirements of ISO 9001:2000.

Auditing is an accounting tool which determines whether the financial statements of a particular company is accurate and without a trace of deceit.

This is a systematic process of obtaining and examining the transparency and truth of financial records.

The principles applied by Fr. George Joseph Willmann, the founder of the Knights of Columbus in the country.  Yen Ocampo
