To ensure its mission to build quality houses for the Filipino people, National Housing Authority (NHA) General Manager Joeben Tai conducted an ocular of housing projects in Iloilo City on October 14, 2022.
GM Tai inspected the Dumangas People’s Villages Sites 1, 2, and 3 in Barangays Pulao, Balabag, and Patlad, Iloilo City, an NHA project for the survivor-families of Typhoon Yolanda.
The Dumangas People’s Village will benefit 2,455 families in the province. Each housing unit comprises 26 to 28-floor square meters with a bedroom, kitchen, and living area.
According to GM Tai, one of his priorities is the disposition of all housing units under the Yolanda Housing Program to its qualified beneficiaries until the end of this year.
As of the GM’s inspection, the Dumangas People’s Village is already at 90% completion.
GM Tai proceeded with the inspection of the Uswag Residential Complex in Brgy. San Isidro, Jaro, Iloilo City, a resettlement project for the informal settler families (ISFs) displaced by government infrastructure projects in the province.
The housing site consists of four low-rise buildings of 240 housing units.
After the project inspections, GM Tai was joined by Iloilo City Representative Julienne “Jam” Baronda in his visit to the vacant properties of Philippine Homesite Housing Corporation (PHHC), which was identified as NHA’s future housing project sites.#
