Eagles Leader Vows Legal Action, Stresses Unity in Address to European Members

MONACO – Ronald F. Delos Santos, the National President of The Fraternal Order of Eagles – Philippine Eagles TFOE-PE, used a major address to the organization’s European chapters to call for unity, threaten legal action against dissenting factions, and outline his vision for the group’s future, citing internal challenges and a need for disciplined leadership.

In a speech delivered in Monaco, President Delos Santos confirmed that the organization has filed a court case in the Philippines to resolve a leadership dispute and establish TFOE-PE as the legitimate “Paternal Order of the Philippines Incorporated.” He expressed frustration with the Philippine legal system for “playing safe” but vowed that a final verdict would expose those he accused of “destroying” the organization.

“All these people destroying us will see the consequence of their actions,” Delos Santos stated, asserting that TFOE-PE possesses the majority support with “about 11 past national presidents” and “about 400 regional governors.”

The president attributed the internal strife to members who were “expelled due to money, due to corruption” and who have since formed a rival group. He vehemently denied any personal corruption, citing his over 30 years in government service without a blemish. “I will not tarnish my name,” he declared.

A central theme of his address was a plea for unity and mutual support, particularly among members based overseas. He urged leaders to avoid exploiting members, especially Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs), and emphasized that contributions should be voluntary and from the heart.

“Please, do not take advantage of the members,” he implored, directing his message specifically to club presidents and governors. He reminded them that the organization’s strength relies on solidarity, especially when far from home.

Delos Santos also issued a stern warning against airing grievances on social media, calling it a destructive practice that can ruin reputations and families. He shared an anecdote about a member who faced legal consequences for defamation, cautioning that a “hold departure order” could prevent OFWs from returning to the Philippines.

“Please, if you have misunderstandings, do not destroy each other on social media,” he appealed.

Looking forward, the National President announced a goal to establish a new regional chapter in Europe before the end of his term in 2026, suggesting potential areas like Barcelona, Greece, and France. He stressed that leaders must be committed and communicative, solving problems within the day to prevent the spread of gossip.

Reflecting on his personal journey, Delos Santos shared that he joined the Eagles seeking help for his business and never aspired to national office. He now sees his role as a calling, prioritizing the organization over other affiliations. He concluded by framing the Eagles as a force for good that can contribute to a better Philippines, urging members to pray for the country and embody the values of unity, respect, and discipline they observe abroad.

The speech was attended by members and leaders from across Europe, including the presidents of the Monaco Lady Girls Club and various regional chapters, whom the president credited as “potential leaders” who know “the right direction.”#
