Bong Go Widens Lead in Final Tangere 2025 Senatorial Survey

Senator Bong Go has extended his lead over other senatorial hopefuls in the final Tangere 2025 Senatorial Preferential Survey, marking a significant 3% increase in voter preference. The survey, conducted from April 29 to May 3, shows Go maintaining his top-tier ranking (1st to 3rd) across all 17 regions of the Philippines.

Trailing behind is ACT-CIS Representative Erwin Tulfo, who secured a 54.2% voter preference, primarily driven by strong support from Northern Luzon, Central Luzon, and Metro Manila.

Duterte-Aligned Candidates Gain Ground
Senator Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa clinched the third spot overall with 48.0% support, buoyed by solid backing from Northern Mindanao and the CARAGA region. Other Duterte-aligned candidates also made significant gains. SAGIP Party-list Representative Rodante Marcoleta surged by 8 percentage points to land within ranks 11 to 18, with a 33.0% voter preference. Meanwhile, 1990s action star and first-time candidate Philip Salvador entered the Top 20, rising by 3% to secure the 20th spot.

Strong Showing for Alyansa Slate
The administration-backed Alyansa coalition placed all ten of its endorsed candidates, including one guest candidate, within the Top 12. Among the standouts:

Former Senate President Tito Sotto (46.5%) and media executive Ben “Bitag” Tulfo (46.2%) are statistically tied for 4th–5th place.

Senator Pia Cayetano (41.6%), Senator Bong Revilla Jr. (41.0%), former DILG Secretary Ben Abalos (40.7%), and Senator Lito Lapid (40.0%) are all statistically tied within ranks 6–10.

Former Senator Ping Lacson (39.0%) is also part of this competitive cluster.

Senators Francis Tolentino (34.3%) and Manny Pacquiao (34.0%), along with Makati Mayor Abby Binay (33.8%) and guest candidate Camille Villar (33.5%), are statistically within ranks 11–18.

Independent Voices Maintain Momentum
Independent candidates also showed resilience in the final poll. Ben “Bitag” Tulfo, the brother of Erwin Tulfo, continued to benefit from broad-based support across Metro Manila, the Visayas, and Mindanao. Former Senator Bam Aquino garnered a 34.9% preference, placing him within the statistical range of ranks 11–16. Incumbent Senator Imee Marcos rounds out the Top 20 with a 32.5% rating.

The non-commissioned poll was conducted by Tangere, an award-winning mobile-based market research firm. Using a stratified random sampling method with quota-based distribution, the survey gathered responses from 2,400 participants nationwide, maintaining a ±1.96% margin of error at a 95% confidence level. Regional distribution was as follows: 12% from NCR, 23% from Northern Luzon, 22% from Southern Luzon, 20% from the Visayas, and 23% from Mindanao.

Tangere is a recognized member of the Marketing and Opinion Research Society of the Philippines (MORES), the European Society for Opinion and Market Research (ESOMAR), and the Philippine Association of National Advertisers (PANA). It is also one of the first survey firms to register with the Commission on Elections (COMELEC).
