Pagpapalakas ng Kaligtasan sa Pagkain: Pinapadali ng DOST-CALABARZON ang FSTPagsasanay ng mga Trainer

Isinagawa ng Department of Science and Technology (DOST)-CALABARZON ang kanilang Food Safety Team (FST) Training of Trainers sa Monte Vista Resort, Calamba City, Laguna mula 7-10 Nobyembre.

Mga tauhan mula sa iba’t ibang Provincial Science and Technology Offices (PSTOs) ng DOST-CALABARZON, Laguna State Polytechnic University (LSPU)-San Pablo City Campus, Southern Luzon State University (SLSU)-Lucena Campus, Department of Trade and Industry (DTI)- Rizal, at Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE)-Rizal ay dumalo upang higit na suportahan, subaybayan, at pahusayin ang Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) sa rehiyon.

Ang 4 na araw na pagsasanay ay pinangunahan ng mga miyembro ng DOST-CALABARZON Food Safety Unit (FSU), Ms. Diane Z. Ulan, Science Research Specialist II; Ms. Amiel G. Lacdan, Project Technical Assistant I; at Maria Ramiella E. Morales, Project Technical Assistant I.

Sa unang araw ng pagsasanay, si G. Mhark Ellgine A. Libao, Science Research Specialist II, at G. John Maico M. Hernandez Science, Research Specialist I ng PSTO-Batangas ay nagpresenta ng lecture tungkol sa Basic Food Hygiene. Si Ms. Niña Sherylle S. Giron, Science Research Specialist II ng PSTO-Rizal pagkatapos ay nagsagawa ng workshop.

Sa ikalawang araw, tinalakay ni Ms. Wilma G. del Rosario Science Research Specialist II ng PSTO-Laguna, at Ms. Maria Teresa A. Pamplona, ​​Science Research Specialist I ng DOST-CALABARZON Regional Office (RO) ang Food Safety Hazards.

Samantala, tinalakay ni Gng. Anna Marie Sisante-Daigan, Science Research Specialist II ng PSTO-Cavite, at G. John Michael A. Florendo, Science Research Specialist II ng PSTO-Quezon ang Good Manufacturing Practices sa ikatlong araw.

Sa huling sesyon ng pagsasanay, sina Ms. Marfil M. De Luna, Food-Drug Regulation Officer III ng Center for Food Regulation and Research (CFRR)-Licensing Section, at Ms. Pia M. Flora Food-Drug Regulation Officer II ng CFRR-Registration Section ng Food and Drug Administration (FDA) ang kanilang kadalubhasaan sa mga paksa ng FDA – License-to-Operate (LTO) at Certificate of Product Registration (CPR) Application Process.

Sa pangunguna nina Emelita P. Bagsit, Regional Director at Engr. Francisco R. Barquilla III, Assistant Regional Director for Technical Operations ng DOST-CALABARZON, tinapos ang FST Training of Trainers with a Pledge of Commitment upang itaguyod ang tungkulin ng mga bagong miyembro ng FST para sa mas malakas at ligtas na CALABARZON.

“Sa pamamagitan ng pangakong ito, kinikilala ko na ang aming tungkulin ay higit pa sa aming mga paglalarawan sa trabaho. Ako ay isang ambassador ng kaligtasan sa pagkain, isang tagapagtaguyod para sa ating lokal na MSME ng pagkain, at isang tagapangasiwa ng kapakanan ng ating komunidad.”#
