Ayon kay Teresita Ang Sy, “Nasa Konstitusyon natin na, our country renounces war as an intrument of national policy, kung tayo magpapasulsol sa malalaking bansa na nag-aaway – nagbabanggaan at tayo ang mga langgam na tinatapak-tapakan nila habang sila ay nagbabanggan at nagbabangayan… paulit-ulit na sinasabi ni Lola Estelita at Lola Narcisa – war is never an answer to any conflict… pag-usapan, diplomacies still the best weapon… a handshake is always better than a fist fight – yan ang paulit-ulit nating ibibigay, hindi makikipag-giyera ang Pilipinas!

“Then, as now, mankind is at a crossroads. One path leads to war, despair and destruction. The other leads to hope, prosperity and development for coming generations. With the powers given to us by our Creator, there are no limits to growth. As history has taught us, if we are motivated by the common good, and act benevolently to the advantage of the other, we will learn to use our rivers and our oceans, and even outer space, not as territorial boundaries, but rather as corridors of commerce, and economic and scientific activity to enhance the quality of life of all human beings on this planet. It is my fervent hope that we citizens of the world, patriots of our countries, use this defining, historic moment to make the spark that ignites the pirit of a new world renaissance.”
