Responding to the urgent needs of communities greatly affected by Typhoon Odette, Manila Water Foundation and its partners immediately turned over much-needed drinking water and hygiene products for deployment to displaced families in Cebu.
In coordination with the Philippine Coast Guard, Manila Water Foundation sent 500 units of 5-gallon Healthy & Pure drinking water and 75 cases of hygiene products donated by P&G Safeguard Philippines. This is the first of its series of deployments for those affected by the calamity.
Manila Water Foundation will be sending additional 2,500 units of 5-gallon drinking water with 225 cases of hygiene products to more communities battered by Typhoon Odette. Its parent company Manila Water will also deploy mobile treatment plants (MTPs) and water tankers to address the lacking supply of potable water in distressed areas.
The initiative is under Manila Water Foundation‘s Agapay program which aims to immediately respond the water supply and sanitation needs of affected communities.
Manila Water Foundation is grateful to its partners, PCG and P&G Safeguard Philippines, and Manila Water and its business units Boracay Water, Laguna Water and Clark Water, for lending a helping hand to our fellow Filipinos at this trying time.
