A conjunction occurs when planets appear close to one another in the sky because they line up with Earth in their respective orbits. Great conjunctions, named “great” for being the rarest and one of the brightest and closest on the average of conjunction between naked eye planets (Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn) A great conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn will be observed after sunset on 21 December 2020, where these two planets will appear six (6) arc minutes apart. The last great conjunction of these two planets occurred last 16 July 1623 and will be observed again on 15 March 2080. (VICENTE B. MALANO, Ph.
