At least 12 micro small medium enterprises (MSMEs) from Calabarzon Region will participate as exhibitors at the International Food Exhibition (IFEX) Philippines, a four-day exhibition food trade show slated on May 21 to 24 at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City.
Organized by the Department of Trade and Industry’s Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions (DTI-CITEM), IFEX brings together the leading export-oriented food and ingredient companies of Asia, the Pacific and Americas that will feature a wide array of food products, innovations, and services for buyers from all parts of the globe.
According to Calabarzon Regional Director Marilou Quincho-Toledo, IFEX is a grand launching platform for the region’s small and medium food enterprises to be exposed to the domestic and foreign buyers.
A special setting – the One Town, One Product Pavilion – holds the products of Ang Tindahan ng Itlog ni Kuya Atbp., Innovatech Food Manufacturing Corporation, New AM Miki Factory, Panaderia Pantoja Inc., Quiang’s Food Corporation, and Pasciolco Agri-Ventures.
Also, the RIPPLES Pavilion will house Arcem Food Products, Chocovron Global Corporation, Delfas Food Products, Merlo Agricultural Corporation and Pasciolco Agri-Ventures, enterprises listed under DTI’s Regional Interactive Platform for Philippine Exporters program.
Some of the country’s leading food brands that will be seen at IFEX include Foodsphere, Inc. Ideal Macaroni & Spaghetti Factory Inc., KLT Fruits Inc., Leslie Corporation, Mama Sita’s, Max’s Bakeshop Inc., Mekeni Food Corporation, Monde M.Y. San/Monde Nissin Corporations, Nutri Asia Inc., Pampanga’s Best Inc., Philfoodex, R Lapid’s Chicharon & BBQ, RFM Corporation, Tropicana Food Products Inc., Victoria’s Foods Corporation, Virginia Food Inc., and Zesto Corporation.
Foreign government exhibitors include The Embassy of Brunei Darussalam, Embassy of Canada, Embassy of the Republic of Singapore, Japan External Trade Organization in Manila, Meat and Livestock Australia, and the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
Still, another special arrangement at the International Hall will showcase APEC top brands and a kitchen set-up where acclaimed chefs will captivate visitors through cooking presentations.
IFEX Philippines established itself as a preferred and most important international food and ingredients sourcing even in the country. Last year, the food show logged more than 13,000 trade buyers and visitors from key regions to the booths of more than 600 local and international exhibitors.
