Manila Water’s Lingap Eskwela supports more schools in Rizal

Truly, there is more to Manila Water than merely delivering clean, potable and safe water services to residential households in its concession area.
This is what Manila Water Area Business Manager Mabelle Amatorio of Rizal Business Area told more than 1100 school officials, representatives of non-government organizations, local officials, parents and students at the recently-concluded 2015 K to 12 Forum cum Caravan of the Department of Education-Rizal.
Manila Water Rizal Business Area was earlier selected by DepEd to represent the non-government organizations in Rizal province and to communicate its future plans for the schoolchildren of Rizal in the recently concluded 2015 K to 12 Forum cum Caravan.
Amatorio said Manila Water would continue to support the education department in making good its pledge to provide quality education while at the same time ensuring that basic infrastructures such as drinking stations are on hand for the use of the students and teachers.
She said that 45 drinking stations in various schools in Rizal province were installed as part of Manila Water’s Lingap Eskwela Project benefitting 76,000 students, teachers and staffs.
Aside from this, Manila Water has also continued its participation in the DepEd’s Brigada Eskwela or the National Schools Maintenance Week as part of the overall effort of the education department to prepare schools for the influx of students this school year.
Manila Water employees volunteered to do their Brigada Eskwela share in 14 schools in the province.
“Our partnership doesn’t end here because this year we are extending our services by adding 12 more schools as Lingap Beneficiaries in Rizal,” Amatorio added.
This future project will further increase the Lingap Eskwela Project to more than 26,000 beneficiaries.
