Quezon City Mayor Josefina ‘Joy’ Belmonte leads in simple ceremony the distribution of gift packs to all QCPD personnel dubbed as “Pamaskong Handog sa Panahong ng Pandemya” today at the QCPD Headquarters in Camp Karingal, Sikatuna Village, Quezon City.
The gift packs that were distributed contain Noche Buena Meal and five (5) kilos of rice. Furthermore, Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Director PBGEN Danilo Macerin received a cheque which will later be given to the QCPD personnel.
In her message, Mayor Belmonte reiterated her full support to the PNP particularly to the men and women of QCPD especially in this time of Pandemic. ”As your local government unit, it is only imperative that we show our support to you by giving these simple gifts para may maiuwi kayo sa pamilya ninyo para may maihanda kayo sa darating na Kapaskuhan. It is our way of showing our love to you as frontliners who have been battling this pandemic”, she said.
She further reminded the public to stay at home and observe the minimum health protocols as this will help the frontliners to combat this COVID-19 pandemic.
She also reiterated that there will be strict implementation of guidelines as holiday season is fast approaching to lessen the rise of COVID-19 cases in Quezon City.
For his part, PBGEN Macerin expressed his profound gratitude to the city government for its full support to the QCPD and will continue to strictly implement the laws and ordinances in Quezon City especially during these trying times.
“For all the support that the Local Government Unit (LGU) has been giving to the QCPD for the past years, we will surely repay it with integrity and honesty. We will do the best that we can to maintain peace and order in our City,” he added.
