1,500 PAMILYANG NASUNUGAN SA BARANGAY CENTRAL MAGKAKABAHAY NA SA ABRIL

 

TINATAYANG nasa talong (3) libong pamilya ang nawalan ng tahanan sa naganap na sunog sa Barangay Central noong Lunes ng gabi at dahil ditto ay posibleng mabiyayaan ng local na pamahalaan ng Lungsod Quezon at National Housing Authority (NHA) nang malilipatang bahay sa Montalban, Rizal at San Jose, Bulacan.

            Sa ginanap na pagpupulong na ipinatawag ni Alkalde Herbert M. Bautista ng Kyusi na isinagawa sa Bulwagang Amoranto kasama si Architech Geronima Angeles, District Manager ng NHA ay binanggit na mayroon pang isang libong (1,000) ‘housing units’ ang puwede maibigay sa Montalban, Rizal at limang daan (500) naming kabahayan sa San Jose, Bulacan.

            Kinakailang lamang umanong makapasa sa tinatawag na ‘pre-qualification requirement’ ng NHA tulad ng sensus ang pamilya ng nabiktima ng sunog.

            Inaasahan na maililipat ang mga pamilyang nakapasa sa darating na Abril o pagkatapos ng pasukan ng mga estudyante upang hindi umano ito maapektuhan sa kanilang pag-aaral.

            Samantala, nagbigay naman ng kautusan si Meyor Bautista sa Social Services Development Department (SSDD), Department of Public Order and Safety (DPOS), Barangay Operation Center (BOC), Community Relations Office (CRO), Urban Poor Affairs Office (UPAO) at City Health Department (CHD) na agarang pagkalooban ng anumang tulong ang mga pamilyang nasunugan.

            Sa kasalukuyan ay pansamantalang naninirahan sa Barangay Pinyahan at Bernardo Park Basketball Court ang mga nasabing biktima ng sunog.

            Pinagbilinan naman ni Meyor Bautista si Quezon City Budget Head Marian Orayani na siguraduhing makapagpalabas ng kaukulang ‘calamity fund’ kaugnay sa paghahanda ng local na pamahalaan upang kundi man maibsan ay mabawasan ang posibleng resulta ng kalamidad sa hinaharap ng Lungsod Quezon.-30- Cathy Cruz, PSciJourn Mega Manila/DZXQ1350 KhZ/DWAD1098 KhZ
