In response to a nationwide appeal for unity and action, the Lakbay Pinas Eagles Club – NCR Region 48, under the leadership of Charter Governor Edward Agustin, launched the first wave of relief operations in Masbate—one of several areas across the Philippines recently devastated by a series of natural calamities.
A total of 450 relief packs, each weighing 3 kilos, were delivered on October 3 to affected communities in Masbate. The initiative was carried out in direct response to the urgent call for solidarity issued by National President Ronald Delos Santos of The Fraternal Order of Eagles – Philippine Eagles, Inc. (TFOE-PE), who has called on all clubs, regions, and members to extend immediate assistance to hard-hit areas including Masbate, Bicol, Samar, Cagayan Valley, and Cebu.
“Ito ang tugon namin kay NP Ronald Delos Santos na tumulong sa mga nasalanta,” said Charter Governor Agustin. “We brought the relief with us as part of our duty to serve and uplift our fellow Filipinos in need.”
In his official address, NP Delos Santos stressed the urgency of unified action, especially as disasters continue to displace and endanger thousands. In Cebu, an earthquake recently struck Bugo and Bantayan Island, destroying homes and even a local church. Delos Santos reported that although initial donations have been raised, they are not enough to meet the growing needs of affected residents who lack clean water, food, and medical kits.
“This is the time to be a beacon of hope—to bring light, strength, and compassion to those severely affected,” Delos Santos urged. “We serve as one. We rise as one. We are Eagles.”
The Masbate relief mission is just the beginning. Additional waves of aid are being organized to reach Cebu, Samar, and other affected regions. Delos Santos emphasized that no one is more capable of helping the Filipino people than the Filipinos themselves—especially the Aguila community, whose mission is deeply rooted in service, brotherhood, and compassion.
This collaborative effort between national leadership and regional chapters showcases the strength of the Eagles as not just an organization, but a nationwide family united in service—ready to rise and respond in the face of adversity.
