Filipino-Chinese Community nag-ambag ng ₱10 Milyon para sa mga biktima ng bagyo

Nagpakita ng mabilis at matibay na pagkakaisa ang Federation of Filipino Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Inc. (FFCCCII) kasama ang iba pang civic groups matapos makalikom ng ₱10 milyon para sa mga nasalanta ng malalakas na bagyo at pagbaha sa iba’t ibang bahagi ng bansa.

Sa ilalim ng Filipino Chinese Friendship Foundation, isinagawa ang malawakang pamamahagi ng tulong noong Hulyo 31, 2025, kung saan personal na namahagi si FFCCCII President Dr. Victor Lim at iba pang lider ng Filipino-Chinese community ng 10,000 sako ng bigas kay Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso. Layon nitong matulungan ang mga pamilyang nawalan ng tirahan sa Maynila.

Ang ₱10 milyong pondo, na agad na inilaan ng FFCCCII at iba pang Filipino-Chinese organizations, ay patuloy na ipinamamahagi sa mga lubhang naapektuhang lugar tulad ng Metro Manila, Bulacan, Pampanga, Tarlac, Pangasinan, La Union, at iba pang probinsya. Una sa prayoridad ang pagbibigay ng pagkain, gamot, at iba pang pangunahing pangangailangan sa mga evacuation center at liblib na komunidad.

Bukod sa relief operations, noong nakaraang buwan ay pinangunahan din ni Lim ang Bacolod Filipino Chinese Chamber of Commerce at iba pang Negros-based Chinese chambers sa pamamahagi ng construction materials para sa mga nasalanta ng pagsabog ng Bulkang Kanlaon sa limang lungsod at bayan ng Negros, kabilang ang La Castellana, La Carlota City, Bago City, Kanlaon City, at Moises Padilla.

Kasabay nito, isang modernong 7-story hydraulic fire truck ang dinonate ng Dr. Manuel S. Lo family (Grace Pharmacy Bacolod at Merzci Bakeshop) sa Bacolod Filipino Chinese Volunteer Fire Brigade, sa pamamagitan nina Lim at Bacolod City Mayor Greg Gasataya.

“Ipinapakita nito ang diwa ng bayanihan ng Filipino-Chinese community,” pahayag ni Lim. “Kapag may mga Pilipinong nangangailangan, dapat tayong magtulungan—hindi lang sa relief, kundi pati sa pagbangon.”

Ang malawakang tulong na ito ay patunay sa pangmatagalang adhikain ng Filipino-Chinese community na maging bahagi ng pagpapalakas ng resilensya ng bansa, mula sa agarang tulong hanggang sa rehabilitasyon ng mga nasalanta.#
