Young Filipino Creators Shine in Celebrating 50 Years of Philippines-China Diplomatic Ties

A vibrant celebration of youth, culture, and diplomacy unfolded today as the Federation of Filipino Chinese Chambers of Commerce & Industry, Inc. (FFCCCII) held its TikTok Video Competition Awarding Ceremony, honoring outstanding young Filipino content creators who creatively showcased five decades of enduring friendship between the Philippines and China.

Led by FFCCCII President Dr. Victor Lim, the awarding was graced by Chinese Embassy Minister Councilor Wang Yulei, symbolizing the strong diplomatic and cultural cooperation between the two nations. The event follows the recent induction of new FFCCCII officers, where President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. encouraged stronger economic, cultural, and diplomatic relations with China—currently the Philippines’ top trading partner.

Honoring Stories That Inspire
The nationwide competition invited participants aged 18 to 35 to produce short-form TikTok videos capturing the shared history, traditions, and values of the Philippines and China. The contest drew hundreds of creative submissions, which were rigorously judged in two rounds to determine the most compelling entries.
