In a world increasingly shaped by sedentary lifestyles and digital distractions, the Herbalife Run Club is proving that fitness doesn’t have to be a solitary journey. With the goal of making wellness more engaging, sustainable, and inclusive, Herbalife celebrated Global Running Day with an inspiring culmination of its 45-day challenge—bringing together hundreds of runners from all walks of life under one shared goal: to move more, live healthier, and do it together.
The 45-day initiative, part of the global Herbalife FLEX45 Challenge and launched in April 2025, was Herbalife’s way of commemorating its 45th anniversary. Far from a solo race, the challenge encouraged participants across the Philippines to run or walk at least 5 kilometers a day, aiming for a collective target of 225 kilometers by the end. Over 200 participants laced up their running shoes, many for the first time, and embarked on this empowering fitness journey that wrapped up just in time for Global Running Day.
“All of this is about creating a community around wellness,” said Allan Domingo, Director and General Manager of Herbalife Philippines, who also joined the celebratory run. “We’re seeing an incredible shift in how Filipinos view fitness. The rise in running clubs and marathon interest shows that, with the right support, active living becomes enjoyable and sustainable.”
A Challenge That Became a Lifestyle
What started as a timed challenge quickly evolved into a lifestyle change for many. The FLEX45 wasn’t just about hitting distance goals—it encouraged holistic health through mindful eating, regular movement, and accountability through community.
This shift is exemplified by Herbalife’s new ambassadors, TV personalities Joyce Pring and Juancho Triviño, who recently joined the Healthier Together campaign. “We didn’t expect our second baby to bring us into a more active lifestyle,” Joyce shared with a smile. “But the moment we started running again, it wasn’t just about us. It was about setting an example for our kids.”
Their shared fitness journey underscores the power of leading by example. “Our children now love healthy food and playtime is always active,” added Juancho. “This isn’t a phase—it’s our new way of life.”
Building a Community of Runners
For athletes like Ines Santiago, a two-time Ironman champion and Herbalife ambassador, running is more than just a physical challenge. “It keeps me grounded and mentally strong,” she said. “Being part of the Herbalife Run Club means I never feel like I’m doing it alone. The community keeps me going—even on the days I don’t feel like lacing up.”
That sense of camaraderie was palpable during Herbalife’s Global Running Day celebration. The streets came alive with energy and purpose as over 200 runners—employees, distributors, ambassadors, and health enthusiasts—joined together for a unity run led by Domingo, Pring, and Triviño. Smiles, sweat, and high-fives filled the morning air, each stride affirming that fitness can be fun, communal, and life-changing.
Running 101: Starting the Journey
For those inspired by the challenge but unsure where to start, Herbalife shared Running 101 Tips—a beginner-friendly guide that emphasizes listening to your body, investing in proper gear, cross-training, resting, and most importantly, taking it one step at a time.
“Don’t be intimidated,” Santiago encourages. “Running is for everyone. Whether you’re walking your first 5K or training for a triathlon, what matters is that you’re moving.”
A Movement Beyond the Finish Line
Herbalife’s Run Club is more than a marketing campaign—it’s a growing movement that proves health is best pursued with others. With future plans for community events, wellness workshops, and more running challenges, the company is laying the groundwork for a healthier, more connected Philippines.
And while the FLEX45 Challenge may be over, the message continues: wellness is not a destination but a lifelong journey—made better when taken together.
So whether you’re a marathoner, a morning jogger, or someone just thinking about taking that first step, Herbalife Run Club invites you to join the movement, lace up, and run for something bigger—for your health, your family, and your community.
