QCPD ON WAR FOOTING AGAINST CRIMINALS

The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) leadership has vowed to use the full force of the law against all lawless elements who may attempt to stage more bank robberies and street crimes.

QCPD director P/CSupt. George Regis assured the public that the QCPD has the capability and strong determination to wage war against crime syndicates in the city.

The QCPD Chief said that he had ordered the immediate deployment of all QCPD operatives, including police personnel at Camp Tomas Karingal and QC police stations, on the city’s streets for more police visibility as deterrence against crimes.

“We do not need policemen in our offices and headquarters, the message should be heard loud and clear that we mean business and we will stop criminals at all cost,” said Regis as he directed all chiefs of all operating units in QCPD headquarters and all 12 police station commanders to implement his directive.

Regis said that all firearms available in the QC police stations and headquarters arm racks and armories should be utilized in maintaining peace and order in the city.

To date, QCPD has almost 3,000 police personnel performing various tasks such as foot patrol, mobile patrol, detective beat patrol and intelligence gathering work and other field assignments.

The QCPD director also ordered a 12-hour per shift schedule for all police personnel to ensure a more stronger anti-crime drive in the entire city.

“From present 8 hours, all police personnel will perform their duty up to 12 hours daily as part of the QCPD effort against criminal elements,” Regis said.

He also warned station commanders to always be on the alert against criminal acts in their area of responsibility or AOR if they want to be spared from administrative sanctions. “They (station commander) will be sacked and will be answerable administratively if crimes in their AOR become rampant,” he said.
