SL Agritech Corporation signed a Memorandum of Agreement with Bangladesh Agricultural Development Corporation last May 21, 2022 at the Sterling Place Building in Makati City Philippines.
The Event was witnessed by Agriculture Secretary William Dar and the Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture of Bangladesh, Sayedul Islam.
Since 2005, SL Agritech Corporation has a long track of collaboration of Hybrid Rice Production with Bangladesh Agricultural Development Corporation. The hybrid rice variety SL8H has gained popularity in Bangladesh and has continued to expand despite their agro climatic condition, proving its tolerance to drought and salinity. Now, the BADC is producing over 500 hectares of the hybrid rice produced by SL Agritech.
The objective of the visit and courtesy meeting primarily is to extend collaborative agreement on SL-8H F1 Seed Production. The Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture of Bangladesh would also like to strengthen their collaboration with our Department of Agriculture. (Carlo Luis M. Candelaria)
