PAGADIAN CITY – In support to the #OneDA approach and Plant, Plant, Plant program of Agriculture Secretary, Dr. William D. Dar, the DA9 Regional Field Office in Lenienza, Pagadian City is making its Mobile Soils Laboratory available and accessible to farmers, fisherfolk, and the public at Provincial Capitol Covered Court, Pagadian City during the 1ST Kakao Festival in Zamboanga del Sur on February 11 – 14, 2021.
The mobile soils lab operation aims to empower farming and fishpond communities and the private sectors through effective laboratory services in order to attain optimum agricultural production yield without causing decline of soil fertility, and ultimately DA’s twin goals of Masaganang Ani at Mataas na Kita!
The DA through the Regional Crop Protection Center (RCPC) entomologists are also present to provide technical assistance on insect and pest diseases control and management.
Assorted vegetable seeds and agriculture information, education, and communication (IEC) materials were also distributed to the participants to maximize efforts in the promotion of the Plant Plant Plant program in ensuring food availability in every household. # # # (Inelin Cabeguin / DA-RFO IX, RAFIS)
