The Board of Investments (BOI) successfully launched the Student-Industry Learning Immersion Program (SILIP) on December 2, 2025, at the Accenture Philippines Client Experience Center in Uptown Bonifacio Global City. The initiative aims to directly bridge the gap between academic instruction and the practical demands of the country’s priority industries.
As part of BOI’s broader Academe-Industry Matching (AIM!) Program, SILIP provides senior high school students from Pasig Science High School with early exposure to transformative technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI), cloud computing, and data analytics. The event featured career talks, interactive sessions, and a guided tour of Accenture’s innovation hub, allowing students to witness real-world applications of digital solutions.
The program is structured around three strategic pillars: K4F-PH (Kids for the Future of Philippine Industrialization) for early awareness; TRANSCEND (Transformational Skills-based Career Enrichment and Development) for skills training; and ELEVATE (Enhance Learning Ecosystem and Value-Adding Competencies Towards Employment) for strengthening graduate readiness through academe-industry linkages.
In her opening remarks, BOI Director for Infrastructure and Service Industries Mary Ann E. Raganit emphasized the collaborative effort. “With the right mindset, you can be part of shaping the next wave of Philippine innovation,” she told students, encouraging them to explore their potential in future-forward fields.
Accenture Associate Director Japhet Paragsa shared his personal journey, highlighting how such programs help youth make informed career choices in a fast-evolving technological landscape. “I hope that… one day, we see each other again, not as visitors but as reinventors,” Paragsa stated.
SILIP targets priority sectors identified by the government, including smart manufacturing, semiconductors, green metals, renewable energy, and cybersecurity. The launch event marks the beginning of a series of planned SILIP activities in partnership with various leading companies across these industries.#
