In a heartfelt speech delivered at the annual Christmas party of The Fraternal Order of Eagles – Philippine Eagles (TFOE-PE), National President Ronald F. Delos Santos issued a powerful call for internal unity, steadfast service, and collective strength in the face of organizational challenges.
The event, held on December 18, 2025, brought together numerous officers and members, referred to affectionately as “Kuya” (Brother) and “Ate,” including key figures such as National President Kuya Gopal, Lalayang Agenda Chairman Kuya Eduardo, and other regional leaders.
President Delos Santos centered his message on the critical need for solidarity within the growing organization. He acknowledged the inherent struggles and obstacles faced by any expanding group but framed them as tests to be overcome.
“If we are not united, we will not be able to accomplish our mission,” Delos Santos stated. “It’s like a one-state thing… But if it’s a one-state thing, we will not be able to accomplish our mission. That’s why, Kuyas, let us unite for one mission, for one goal.”
He directly addressed sources of conflict, cautioning against ego, pride, and personal interests that lead to division. Advocating for direct communication, he discouraged airing grievances on social media. “He should talk to you in person,” Delos Santos said, sharing his personal policy of inviting members to his office for dialogue instead of engaging in online exchanges.
Drawing inspiration from the organization’s namesake, Delos Santos invoked the eagle as a metaphor for resilience. “The eagle does not give up. No matter what the storm is… It flies until it overcomes the obstacles,” he declared, urging members to embody the same relentless spirit in their service and personal lives within the fraternity.
The speech underscored the core mission of TFOE-PE: service to beneficiaries and the broader community. Delos Santos expressed gratitude for the hard work of the National Treasurer, Secretary General, and regional governors. He highlighted recent relief operations in Payatas, where the gratitude of recipients reinforced the value of their efforts.
“Our countrymen are receiving even if it’s just a little, but we really feel how they accept this,” he shared, visibly moved by the experience. He connected this service directly to the organization’s higher purpose: “What we’re doing, we’re offering to our Lord God, to our fellow countrymen who need help.”
Adding a personal note, Delos Santos humorously recounted receiving a dry T-shirt from a fellow member, Brother Alwin, after sweating through his own during the Payatas charity work. This anecdote served as a symbol of mutual support. “No matter what happens, as long as in our organization, I’m here, we’re all together. No one is left behind,” he affirmed.
Looking ahead, he expressed hope and prayer for the resolution of current challenges through collaborative efforts, reiterating his simple moral compass: “I know what’s right and what’s wrong.”
The Christmas party, facilitated by donations of ice cream, popcorn, and juice from members Aunty Princess and Aunty Shy, concluded on a note of camaraderie and shared ambition. Delos Santos defined that ambition succinctly: “Help, help, help.”
He extended his Merry Christmas wishes to all officers and members of the Philippine Eagles Inc., closing an address that balanced sober reflection on internal challenges with an unwavering commitment to fraternal duty and charitable service.
