United Relief Effort Brings Aid to Over 1,200 Families in Typhoon-Hit Aurora

A major collaborative relief operation successfully delivered critical assistance to communities severely affected by Typhoon Uwan in Aurora province on November 26-27, 2025.

Dubbed “Isang Lipad Para sa Aurora,” the mission was a joint effort led by the Triple D Commission of the Fraternal Order of Eagles – Philippine Eagles, Inc., under its National President, Kuya Ronald D L Santos, and Chairman Kuya Joseph Cuisia Jocson. The operation was conducted in partnership with the Philippine National Police (PNP) and the Rotary Club of Camp Crame.

The mission catered to over 1,200 families in the coastal areas of Dinalungan and Dilasag, distributing 1,200 relief packs with an estimated total value of 420,000 Philippine Pesos.

A Testament to Unity and Service

In a statement, the organizers highlighted that the operation stands as a “powerproof testament to our unity, dedication, and unwavering commitment to serve.” The success of the mission was attributed to the coordinated efforts of multiple organizations and individuals.

Key figures present included Executive Vice President Kuya Javier Agaton, who personally facilitated the operation and donated 100 pails of assorted biscuits. The Alalayang Agila group, led by Chairman Kuya Edward Agustin, also provided crucial support, traveling directly from another relief operation to assist.

Strategic Partnerships and Logistics

The PNP played a vital role in the mission’s execution. Aurora Provincial Director, Police Col. Robert L. Petate, personally attended to the team’s safety and provided a cash donation of 10,000 pesos for fuel. The policemen were credited for their tireless assistance, guidance, and security throughout the journey.

The Rotary Club of Camp Crame, headed by General Alan Okubo, was acknowledged for its continuous partnership and hands-on involvement in delivering aid.

On-the-ground coordination was managed by the Triple D Aurora Team, led by Vice Chair Kuya Cris Laurel, and Protocol Chairman Kuya Gov. Dante Wenceslao. Accommodation and food for the team were provided by Kuya Archie, owner of Dianao Beach Club and Resort.

Spill-Over Aid for Isabela

All excess relief goods from the Aurora operation were formally turned over to the Alalayang Agila Commission to be distributed to members and communities in Isabela Province, which were also affected by recent flooding.

Acknowledgment of Widespread Support

The organizers extended their deepest gratitude to the numerous governors, club presidents, members, and private donors whose financial and in-kind contributions made the mission possible.
