In a fiery speech marked by religious fervor, personal anecdote, and stark political prophecy, the “Save the Philippines Coalition” was officially launched, with speaker Emerita C. Pecson identifying the sitting President as “our enemy” and endorsing Vice President Sara Duterte as the nation’s destined future leader.

The event, which appeared to be a rally, featured Pecson, a 70-year-old former factory worker introduced as a “Capitana” and a supporter of DDS, addressing a crowd she said represented various sectors of the Philippine economy.

A Movement “Planned by God”

Pecson framed the coalition’s launch as a divine undertaking. “Today is a gift to each and every one of us,” she stated. “It’s not an accident. There is a plan of God in all of us.” She called for applause from the audience, celebrating their presence as part of a larger, preordained mission.

Mobilizing Grievances and a Call to Prayer

The speaker anchored the coalition’s purpose in a narrative of past injustice and current moral crisis. She recalled a tragic event from “the year 2000,” alleging that “200 people who trusted in the government were killed… thrown in the garbage because of poverty.”

Pecson then turned her focus directly to the current President, delivering the speech’s most incendiary remarks. “Our enemy, what is our enemy? The President. The President. He does not believe in God,” she declared.

She repeatedly urged Filipinos nationwide to pray, asking, “why is our enemy addict?” She defined this explicitly as being “addict to drugs,” a claim she reiterated multiple times for emphasis.

The “Number 8” Prophecy and Sara Duterte

The political climax of the speech was the formal endorsement of Vice President Sara Duterte. “I will give you hope. Sara Duterte is number 8. Number 8 is her number,” Pecson announced.

She linked this number to a prophetic significance, claiming it was tied to the “revolution of 1987.” Furthermore, she cited an ongoing “revolution” from September 13 to November 23, a period of 71 days. “71 days means 7 plus 1 is 8. That’s the number,” she explained, presenting this calculation as validation of Duterte’s destined rise to the presidency.

A Personal Journey to Activism

Pecson shared her personal story to illustrate her mobilization. She explained that after 18 years of factory work, she had planned to retire, but was recruited by a politician named Placido Filosofo and a military official, Captain Ray Palero, who told her, “Captain, we need you.”

She also referenced the resignation of an individual named “Martin Romualdez” in 2015 as a pivotal moment of collective confusion, stating, “That is where we all got lost.”

A Firm Conclusion

Concluding her address, Pecson solidified the coalition’s resolve. “We all know what we are doing. And we believe what we are doing. And we love what we are doing. But but never quit what we are doing,” she asserted, before thanking the crowd.

The launch of the “Save the PH Coalition” positions itself as a faith-based opposition movement, directly challenging the current administration’s morality and legitimacy while staking its future on a specific numerical prophecy for Sara Duterte.#
