ILIGAN CITY – In a momentous ceremony filled with fraternal spirit and a profound sense of purpose, The Fraternal Order of Eagles-Philippine Eagles Inc. officially chartered its newest administrative body, the Northern Mindanao Region 20 (NMR 20), on November 16, 2025.

The historic event, held at Tong’s Kusina in Barangay San Roque, Iligan City, was graced by the presence of National President Eagle Ronald F. Delos Santos, underscoring the national significance of the new region’s establishment. The evening also featured the induction of new members from NMR 2 and NMR 8, symbolizing both expansion and renewal within the brotherhood.

A Region Built on Brotherhood and Service

Northern Mindanao Region 20 is composed of six charter clubs: Maria Cristina Eagle Club, Metro Iligan Eagles Club, Buhanginan Hills Eagles Club, Naawan Eagles Club, Linamon Eagles Club, and Iligan Pax Philadelphus Eagles Club. Based in Iligan City, NMR 20 is now an official member of the national fraternity, marking a new chapter of service and unity in the area.

In his address, Eagle Vincent Rey D. Gerodias, the newly installed Charter Regional Governor, framed his leadership within a divine context. “I have learned that leadership without the guidance of God is simply position without purpose,” he stated. “I accept this role, not because I am the most capable nor the most prepared, but because I trust that God equips those He calls. Together, with God at the center, we can build a region that becomes a testimony of what God can do for us.”

Messages of Unity and Fraternal Duty

The event resonated with powerful messages from Eagles leaders, emphasizing the core values of the organization.

National President Eagle Ronald F. Delos Santos called for steadfast commitment to the Eagles’ mission, urging members, “Let us continue our goal of humanitarian services. Mabuhay Agila!” In a separate remark, he reinforced the importance of integrity, stating, “If we love our organization, we need to observe the reality, the right thing.”

Eagle Arthur L. Abudiente, an RTC Judge, delivered a poignant reminder of the members’ fraternal oath. “We are our brother’s speaker. We keep them from a path of sin,” he declared. He cautioned against discarding brotherhood for “flimsy personalization” and emphasized collective action: “We should continue to sow with our brothers. Not alone by ourselves, but with our brothers.”

Echoing the theme of joyful service, Eagle Wilfredo B. Sablas, Regional Governor of Northern Mindanao Region 2, inspired the crowd with his words: “Magpadayon ta na magalagad, uban sa kalipay. Magiusa, uban sa gugma. (Let us continue to serve with joy. Let us unite with love.)”

A Night of Legacy

The chartering was more than a formal proceeding; it was the birth of a legacy. The event’s closing sentiments captured the collective feeling: “Tonight, we did not just attend a ceremony. We created a legacy. A new region took flight. A region built in unity, on service, on strong brotherhood. Let us soar higher, let us serve stronger, let us lead with courage, compassion, and commitment.”

With the establishment of Northern Mindanao Region 20, The Fraternal Order of Eagles strengthens its footprint in Mindanao, promising a future dedicated to humanitarian service, unwavering brotherhood, and faith-led leadership.

Mabuhay ang Northern Mindanao Region 20! Mabuhay ang Agila!#
