The Philippine national cheerleading team, Team Pilipinas Coed Premier, has captured a spectacular silver medal at the highly competitive 2025 ICU Asian Cheerleading Championships, held from September 12 to 14 at The Mall Lifestone Bangkapi.

The squad, composed of 24 elite athletes, delivered a powerful and precise performance in the Coed Premier division, one of the event’s premier categories. Their routine, marked by incredible athleticism, intricate stunts, and flawless synchronization, earned them a place on the podium alongside South Empire All Stars, who also claimed a silver medal in a remarkable tie.

The team’s success is a testament to their rigorous training and the strategic guidance of Head Coach Evan Sunio and Assistant Coach Daniela Silos. The athletes showcased the world-class talent and growing prominence of Philippine cheerleading on the continental stage.
For Cheer Pilipinas, their silver medal victory was about more than just a podium finish. A team spokesperson emphasized that the award is “a win for the entire Philippine cheer community,” celebrating the heart and soul the team dedicated to their performance against the world’s best.
The congratulations extended beyond the premier team. The SPCP Pom Doubles also achieved notable success, contributing to an outstanding overall showing for the Philippine delegation at the championships.
The event, administered by the International Cheer Union (ICU), gathered 120 member nations for a celebration of athleticism and spirit. The Cheer Association of Thailand was commended for its excellent hosting of the tournament.
In a statement, the team extended its gratitude to the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) for its vital support, which was crucial in their preparation and campaign.
