PNP, Civic Groups Unite to Bring Relief to Typhoon-Hit Luzon Provinces

Over 7,500 affected families in Northern and Central Luzon to receive aid in joint humanitarian mission

In a powerful display of bayanihan, the Philippine National Police (PNP), alongside the Rotary Club of Camp Crame and The Fraternal Order of Eagles – Philippine Eagles, Inc., launched a massive relief operation to aid communities devastated by Typhoons Crising, Dante, and Emong. The send-off ceremony, held on July 31, 2025, at Camp Crame, was marked by solidarity and hope as volunteers and officials prepared to deliver critical supplies to hardest-hit areas in Tarlac, Pangasinan, La Union, Ilocos, and Abra.

A Lifeline for Thousands
PNP Chief Police General Nicolas D. Torre III led the ceremony, expressing deep gratitude to civic partners for their swift action. “This is not just relief—this is a lifeline,” he emphasized, noting that over 7,500 individuals will benefit from food packs, hygiene kits, and other essentials. The Chief PNP praised the resilience of affected families, including police personnel in Bolinao and damaged stations in La Union, whose homes were also struck by the storms yet continued to serve.

Unity in Action
The initiative was spearheaded by PLTGEN Edgar Alan O. Okubo, President of the Rotary Club of Camp Crame, and the Fraternal Order of Eagles-Philippine Eagles, Inc., led by National President Eagle Ronald Delos Santos. Key officers, including Executive VP Eagle Agaton Javier and Secretary General Eagle Allan Corpuz, underscored their commitment to sustained support.

“When calamity strikes, we rise as one,” Delos Santos stated.

A Message of Hope
General Torre highlighted the ceremony’s deeper meaning: “This is bayanihan in its purest form—compassion transcending boundaries.” The PNP also pledged to assist in rebuilding damaged police facilities to restore safety services swiftly.
