One Bangsamoro Movement Endorses 10 Senatorial Bets, 1 Party-List for May 12 Elections

The One Bangsamoro Movement (1Bangsa), in partnership with a nationwide coalition of multi-sectoral Muslim organizations, officially endorses ten (10) senatorial candidates and one party-list for the May 12 national elections.

These endorsements reflect a shared commitment to fully implement the Comprehensive Agreement on the Bangsamoro (CAB)—including power-sharing, normalization, and inclusive development in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region. Supporting these candidates is a vote for unity, justice, and lasting peace; a stand against hate and discrimination; and an investment in the future of Filipino youth and identity.

Champions Against Discrimination
These candidates have shown steadfast support for inclusion and dignity:

Subair Mustapha (#47): An educator and anti-profiling advocate helping displaced Bangsamoro families through livelihood programs.

Amirah “Mek” Lidasan (#37): Peace-builder uniting indigenous tribes in Mindanao through dialogue.

Rodante Marcoleta (#38): Author of pro-faith and pro-poor legislation, including the “Magna Carta of the Poor” (RA 11291).

Guardians of Governance and Stability
These leaders combine strong public service records with a commitment to fairness:

Atty. Vic Rodriguez (#56): Legal expert who left Malacañang over discriminatory policies and now champions equal treatment in governance.

Sen. Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa (#22): Advocate for BARMM inclusion and critic of anti-Muslim stigmatization.

Gringo Honasan (#31): Veteran of ceasefire negotiations and interfaith peacebuilding efforts.

Architects of Social Progress
This group has worked to ensure access to health, education, and welfare:

Bong Go (#28): Expanded healthcare and disaster response in Muslim-majority provinces.

Camille Villar (#66): Advanced maternal care and welfare programs across BARMM.

Pia Cayetano (#18): Brought child safety and scholarship programs to Bangsamoro youth.

Investing in Our Future
Their work empowers the next generation of Muslim Filipinos:

Bam Aquino (#5): Principal proponent of free tertiary education for underprivileged youth.

Apat Dapat Party-List (#48): Focused on job creation, agricultural support, and sustainable development.

A Call to Unity at the Ballot

The One Bangsamoro Movement (1Bangsa), Inc. call on all Muslim Filipinos—and our fellow citizens across the country—to vote with dignity, unity, and purpose this May 12. Support candidates who are true partners in peace and justice, and who will uphold the spirit of the Bangsamoro Organic Law and the CAB.

“Sa halalang ito, bumoto tayo para sa pagkakaisa at kinabukasan ng sambayanang Pilipino.”#
