Gatchalian, Angara, Dizon Top Latest Tangere Survey as Highest Rated Cabinet Officials

Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Secretary Rex Gatchalian has emerged as the highest-rated Cabinet official in the Marcos administration, according to the latest survey conducted by Tangere. The survey, conducted on April 21–22, 2025, shows Gatchalian garnering a 59.4% satisfaction rating, leading all other Cabinet members.

The poll indicates that the strong approval for Gatchalian is largely driven by respondents from socio-economic classes D and E. His recent visibility following the rollout of the DSWD’s Ayuda para sa Kapos ang Kita Program (AKAP) is seen as a key factor contributing to his high rating.

Rounding out the top three are Department of Education Secretary Sonny Angara, with a 58.1% satisfaction rating, and Department of Tourism Secretary Vivencio “Vince” Dizon at 56.8%. They are followed by Science and Technology Secretary Renato Solidum, Jr. (55.5%) and Migrant Workers Secretary Hans Cacdac (55.0%).

Tangere’s analysis suggests a pattern of strong public satisfaction with departments that have a direct impact on daily life, such as social welfare, education, labor, and public transportation.

The non-commissioned survey involved 2,400 respondents nationwide and was conducted through Tangere’s mobile-based application. Using stratified random sampling with quotas, the survey achieved a margin of error of ±1.96% at a 95% confidence level. Respondents were proportionally distributed across the country: 12% from Metro Manila, 23% from Northern Luzon, 22% from Southern Luzon, 20% from Visayas, and 23% from Mindanao.

Tangere, a pioneering tech-driven public opinion polling company, is registered with the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) and is a member of the Marketing and Opinion Research Society of the Philippines (MORES), the Philippine Association of National Advertisers (PANA), and the Philippine Marketing Association (PMA).
