The National Housing Authority (NHA) distributed 85 housing units to qualified families affected by infrastructure projects, including the ongoing Bukidnon Airport Development Project in Don Carlos, Bukidnon, on January 24, 2025.
NHA General Manager Joeben A. Tai, along with Region X Manager Madeleine Gilda S. Abellera, personally led the turnover ceremony of the housing units at Don Carlos Village Phase II.
A total of 126 housing units were constructed in the area, comprising 41 units in Don Carlos Phase I, which had already been awarded to qualified beneficiaries, and 85 units for Don Carlos Phase II.
GM Tai was joined by Senator Juan Miguel Zubiri and his wife, Audrey Tan Zubiri, who provided funding for the project’s construction. Also present at the event were Don Carlos Mayor Ma. Victoria L. Ontanillas-Pizarro and Quezon, Bukidnon Mayor Pablo M. Lorenzo.
In addition to the turnover, the NHA also distributed ₱20,000 each to 12 families whose homes were affected by disasters such as floods and fires under the Emergency Housing Assistance Program (EHAP). This program aims to help beneficiaries restart and rebuild their homes.
Meanwhile, three former members of Kapatiran received Certificates of Award after their homes were built using ₱450,000 in financial assistance provided under the NHA’s Resettlement Assistance for Former Rebels Program.
This initiative is part of the Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-CLIP), which aims to support former rebels who have chosen to reintegrate into society and abandon armed struggle.#
