Cong. Erwin Tulfo maintains the lead in the latest 2025 Pre-Election Senatorial Preferential Survey of Tangere despite the decline in voter preference

Manila, Philippines — Despite a considerable 5% drop in his voter preference due to the recent concern about being an undocumented worker in the United States, ACT-CIS Representative Erwin Tulfo maintained his lead in the latest 2025 Pre-Election Senatorial Preferential Survey of Tangere with a 58.00% voter preference. Cong. Erwin Tulfo received significantly lower voter preference among voters aged 18-25 years old and among voters aged 51 years old and above.

Following distantly at second place will be Senator Bong Go with a 51.00% voter preference driven by voters in Mindanao and respondents aged 36 to 50 years old.

Top 12 for January 2025
• Statistically tied at 2nd to 4th place will be Media Executive Ben ‘Bitag’ Tulfo (49.50%) leveraging on the strong support of voters from the Visayas regions and NCR.
• Statistically tied at 3rd to 4th place will be Former Senator Tito Sotto with a 48.00% voter preference, a notable drop of almost 3% from the previous month. The former Senator polled statistically lower with voters aged 18 to 25 years old.
• Statistically tied at 5th to 6th place will be Former Senator Manny Pacquaio with a 45.00% voter preference driven by voters from Visayas, and Senator Pia Cayetano with a 43.17% voter preference. The senator polled statistically lower with Male respondents and respondents aged 18-25 years old.
• Four candidates are statistically tied at 7th to 10th place, led by one newcomer and three incumbent senators:
• Former DILG Secretary, Benhur Abalos, Jr. with a 36.00% voter preference driven by voters from the upper and lower-middle-income classes;
• Senator Bong Revilla, Jr. with a 35.50% voter preference. The Senator polled statistically lower with male respondents and respondents aged 51 years old and above;
• Senator Francis Tolentino with a 34.50% voter preference leveraged strong social engagement; and
• Senator Lito Lapid with a 34.21% voter preference driven by voters aged 26 to 35 years old.
• Six candidates are statistically tied at 11th to 15th place led by two incumbent senators and three former senators:
• Former Senator Ping Lacson – 32.00% voter preference;
• Senator Imee Marcos – 31.67% voter preference;
• Senator Abby Binay – 31.50% voter preference;
• Senator Bato Dela Rosa – 31.00% voter preference;
• Former Senator Kiko Pangilanan – 30.71% voter preference; and
• Former Senator Bam Aquino – 30.58% voter preference.

Outside the Top 12 for January 2025

• Statistically tied at 16-20 will be the following:
• Comedian Willie Revillame with a 29% voter preference driven by voters aged 26 to 35 years old;
• Social Media Personality Dr. Willie Ong with a 28% voter preference. Statistically lower voter preference in Visayas was noted for Dr. Ong;
• Las Pinas Representative Camille Villar with a 28% voter preference. Statistically lower voter preference for male voters was noted for the Congresswoman;
• Former Ilocos Sur Governor Chavit Singson recently backed out in the 2025 Senate Race with a 28% voter preference driven by respondents from Northern and Central Luzon.

The survey, conducted last January 8-11, 2024, was administered via a mobile-based respondent application with a sample size of 2,400 participants (+/- 1.96% Margin of Error at a 95% Confidence Level) using a Stratified Random Sampling method (Quota Based Sampling). The proportion was spread throughout the Philippines with 12 percent from NCR, 23 percent from Northern Luzon, 22 percent from Southern Luzon, 20 percent from Visayas, and 23 percent from Mindanao.
