The National Housing Authority (NHA) awarded housing units to 23 Sibugaynon families in a ceremony held in Imelda, Zamboanga Sibugay.
A collaboration between the NHA and the local government of Imelda, the awarded housing units are part of the 55-unit San Jose Village Resettlement Housing Project.
The ceremony was led by NHA Region 9 Manager Engr. Al-Khwarizmi U. Indanan, representing General Manager Joeben Tai, along with Zamboanga del Sur/Zamboanga del Norte/Bangsamoro Autonomous Region of Muslim Mindanao (ZDS/ZDN/ARMM-A) Officer-in-Charge Engr. Jessa Consuegra.
Imelda Mayor Jerry D. Silva and Vice Mayor Roselyn Silva, along with members of the Sangguniang Bayan (Municipal Council), also attended this significant event.
In his message, Mayor Silva expressed his gratitude to the NHA for its unwavering support and dedication to the project. He also emphasized the importance of the new homes to the beneficiaries, symbolizing hope and resilience. However, he reminded the families to be responsible homeowners and encouraged them to take care of their new houses and community.
Meanwhile, RM Engr. Indanan commended the strong partnership between the NHA and the Imelda LGU, which worked hard to make the project a reality. He also assured the community that the agency prioritizes funding the remaining housing units as soon as possible for the other beneficiary families.#
