13 bansa sa Asia-Pacific na sasabak sa International Nuclear Olympiad sa Pilipinas

Pinangunahan ng Department of Science and Technology-Philippine Nuclear Research Institute (DOST-PNRI) at sa pakikipagtulungan ng Department of Education, DOST-National Research Council of the Philippines, at International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), ang INSO ay isang taunang kumpetisyon na naglalayong pataasin ang kamalayan at ipakita ang pangako ng mga kalahok na bansa sa mapayapang aplikasyon ng nuclear science at teknolohiya sa pamamagitan ng labanan ng talino sa mga mag-aaral sa sekondaryang antas.

Ayon sa DOST-PNRI, ang Pilipinas ay nakatakdang pasimulan ang kauna-unahang International Nuclear Science Olympiad (INSO), kung saan ang mga mag-aaral mula sa iba’t ibang paaralan sa buong rehiyon ng Asia-Pacific ay maglalaban-laban sa parehong teoretikal at praktikal na pagsusulit upang subukan ang kanilang kaalaman sa nuclear science mula sa 13 bansa sa rehiyon ng Asia-Pacific mula Hulyo 31 hanggang Agosto 7, 2024, sa National Government Administrative Center sa New Clark Center sa Capas, Tarlac.

Bukod sa Pilipinas, ang iba pang mga kalahok na bansa para sa paunang INSO ay ang Bahrain, Iran, Jordan, Malaysia, Mongolia, Oman, Pakistan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, at United Arab Emirates.

Bagama’t hindi bukas sa publiko ang mga kaganapan, maaari mong sundan ang mga social media channel ng DOST-PNRI upang mahuli ang kapana-panabik na paglalakbay ng ating mga magiging siyentipiko na naghahanda upang kumatawan sa kani-kanilang bansa sa Olympiad.#
