Alagang Natural recently launched its short video health tips for the public led by Dr. Anton Roquel from a family of social entrepreneur, Doctor of Medicine, and owner of Philippine’s largest Herbal Medicine raw materials company.
Dr. Patrick Anthony T. Roquel graduated in 2022 at Far Eastern University – Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation. His specialization is General Medicine. Though young, he grew up with a family of physician and health advocate since his childhood.
His mother, Dra. Elin Tee-Roquel, who during the CoVid-19 pandemic is one of the doctors who assisted many Filipinos through the BANTAI COVID to help in the CoviD Pandemic. She is also a member of Philippine Medical Association. While his father, the President of (BinhiBiofarm) Biofarm and Natural Health Ingredients Co., GH Nutripharma and ROQS International Consumer Health Corp. (RiCHCORP) is also active in philantropic works in Philippines.
The family’s experiences on health issues started when the father of Anton, Patrick Roquel had a chronic kidney failure but fortunate to overcome the process of kidney transplant. The family aspires to have a healthy Filipinos because they knew the burden of being sick and financially incapacity to sustain medication and to live longer.
It was then a Divine intervention, when they found out the beneficial uses of herbal medicines like lagundi Vitex Negundo. There are series of coordination with the scientists and officials of Department of Health and Department of Science and Technology, the family started to advocating the Republic Act No. 8423 or known as the Traditional and Alternative Medicine Act of 1997 (TAMA law). Their companies engaged in propagating Philippine herbal medicinal plants, process it as raw materials for herbal beverages , food supplement.l, and herbal medicines.
