NHA, DSWD namahagi ng ₱450K para sa unang HOA sa ilalim ng Region 11 SLP

Ginawaran ng National Housing Authority (NHA) at Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) ang pinakaunang homeowners association (HOA) na benipisyaryo ng ahensya ng P450,000 sa pamamagitan ng Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP).

Para sa sustainable communities na nais ni NHA General Manager Joeben A. Tai na mabuo, sa ilalim ng Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) ng NHA Region XI at DSWD Region XI noong Oktubre 2022, ang Mt. Terrace Village Homeowners Association (MTVHOA) ay ang unang kinilalang benepisyaryo ng NHA para sa SLP ngayong taon.

Sa tulong ng NHA, nakatanggap ang MTVHOA ng P450,000 seed capital fund para sa kanilang general merchandise store na may kasamang tables and chairs rental. Ang kapital na pondo ay naglalayong masiguro ang maayos na kita ng asosasyon at mapalago ang kanilang negosyo. Nagplano rin ang mga benepisyaryo ng iba pang pagkakakitaan na nakatuon sa pagtatayo ng credit services para sa kanilang aktibong mga miyembro at para matulungan silang makabuo ng kanilang kanya-kanyang mga pagkakakitaan o hanapbuhay.

Upang patuloy na suportahan ang kanilang mga inisyatiba bilang parte ng kanilang pagsasanay sa pamamalakad ng negosyo, nagsagawa rin ang NHA kasama ang MTVHOA ng isang site visit sa Davao City upang makilala ang 2 matagumpay na SLP.

Sa tulong ng aktibidad na ito, naobserbahan at naaral ng mga miyembro ang mga proseso at kasalukuyang mga proyekto ng Langub SLPA at SAKADAB GK Consumers Cooperative, pati na rin kung paano nila napalago ang kanilang kapital.

Pinangunahan nina NHA Region XI-District 1 Acting Community Support Services Chief Helen R. Quiratman, Community Support Services Officer Pamela C. Suizo, at DSWD SLP Officers Edgar Burgos at Jozel Matobato ang site visit.

Sa ilalim ni NHA GM Tai, ang ahensya ay nagsusumikap na palakasin ang mandato at mga programa nito upang masigurong maayos at sapat ang mga pabahay sa loob ng inklusibo at masaganang mga komunidad bilang suporta sa kampanyang Bagong Pilipinas ni President Ferdinand “Bongbong” R. Marcos Jr.
